Peoplefluent Puts the Power of Talent in Managers’ Hands with Mobile Workforce Explorer

“Fluency on the Move” Applications Leverage the Strength of Mobile Computing to Extend the Value of Existing TM and ERP Solutions

RALEIGH, N.C. and WALTHAM, Mass. – October 3, 2011 – Peoplefluent™, offering a unique combination of best-of-breed mobile and SaaS suite solutions for Talent Management, Vendor Management and Workforce Compliance and Diversity, has released Workforce Explorer, an iPad application that enables executives, managers and HR to manage talent in an accurate and highly visual manner.  The “Fluency on the Move” suite features Talent Management solutions with a compelling user interface that has garnered significant enthusiasm from users and industry experts [See Peoplefluent Mobile Applications Selected for Coveted “Awesome New Technologies” Spot at Upcoming HR Technology® Conference and Expo announced last week].

“With Mobile Workforce Explorer, we are delivering a compelling mobile application designed to engage collaboration and enable the mobile manager.  Through our mobile suite we will be harnessing the strength and breadth of mobile computing to extend the life and value of existing technology investments in ERP and Talent Management software solutions,” said Charles S. Jones, Chairman and CEO of Peoplefluent.  “Our new product suite will sit on top of existing data sources and applications across the enterprise and extract and integrate information from disparate sources to deliver actionable insights for our customers without putting them through complex integration or painful and expensive software replacements and upgrades.”

Workforce Explorer is part of Peoplefluent’s ongoing commitment to developing and enhancing mobile workforce applications, and is now available.  A recent study conducted by Network World magazine reviewed the enterprise computing requirements of 250 IT managers.  Respondents indicated that nine out of 10 are planning to dramatically expand the number of mobile applications deployed in their enterprises during 2011. More than half (51 %) cited productivity as a key driver for fast-tracking mobile applications for enterprise users and 50% acknowledged that decisions are being driven by employee requests and requirements.

Industry researchers at Gartner have observed similar trends, indicating that 40% of employee/manager transactions will be mobile by 2015. Although Workforce Explorer is platform agnostic, Peoplefluent’s decision to first launch the application for the iPad is validated by the device’s growing popularity. According to a May 2011 of web traffic, the iPad dominates the tablet category, representing “89% of tablet traffic” in all major international markets according to comScore’s Device Essentials report on device usage.

Ronnie Thomson, senior vice president of Development for Peoplefluent, commented, “Too many HR applications are retrofitted for the iPad as opposed to developed expressly for these tablet devices.  That’s why Peoplefluent pursued a development strategy that utilizes the best features of these devices to deliver an experience designed to help busy executives and managers understand their people, their talents, worker strengths and overall performance. Workforce Explorer takes into consideration all worker types and presents a full, accurate and insightful hands-on visualization of the total workforce by leveraging new and innovative technology in combination with technology investments already in place.”

For years, companies have been challenged in their efforts to quickly and comprehensively drill-down into the skills possessed by their workforces and to support strategic decisions.  Peoplefluent’s Workforce Explorer features a Talent Filter that finds corresponding talent using multiple key attributes.  In addition to rapidly identifying desired skill-sets, Workforce Explorer enables managers to review workforce progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) on an individual and organizational level.
