Charles S. Jones

Chairman of the Board

Charles S. Jones, who has spent much of his career as an operating executive for a wide range of large public international companies and small growth-driven private companies, has a reputation for innovation and customer-centric growth strategies. He has a proven and highly successful track record in integrating software companies, identifying key inflection points of differentiation and unleashing the inherent value to the market.

Under the leadership of Mr. Jones, PeopleFluent experienced significant growth both organically and through acquisition, integration, and business partnership strategies. The company also brought numerous innovative products to market, receiving many awards and accolades including Peoplefluent Mobile Applications being selected for the coveted "Awesome New Technologies" spot at the HR Technology® Conference & Exposition, winning the HR technology industry's Integrated Talent Management Shootout at the 13th Annual HR Technology Conference & Exposition, and named a finalist in the Cloud Computing/Software-as-a-Service Category in the Eighth Annual American Technology Awards.

Before joining Peoplefluent and becoming Managing Partner of Bedford Funding, Mr. Jones was Chairman and then CEO of Markham, Ontario-based Geac Computer Corporation, a Toronto Stock Exchange listed software company with annual revenues approaching U.S. $500 million. During Mr. Jones's tenure, he transformed the Geac business with two large public-company acquisitions and built an innovative and market-leading business intelligence software enterprise focused on the financial value chain. Geac received the highest ratings among all competitive offerings in Ventana Research's 2005 Performance Management Vendor and Product Scorecard. On October 1, 2001, the Wall Street Journal named Geac the number one performing global stock. In 2004, Mr. Jones was named on the top 10 list of CEOs in Canada and, in 2005, was recognized on the top 25 list of CEOs in Canada by Canada's National Post newspaper.

Robert Courteau

Robert Courteau is an entrepreneurial leader with extensive expertise in achieving growth objectives with the world's leading companies. He has led large, multinational organizations with oversight for global sales, outsourced operations, product development and business transformation and has executed these initiatives on a broad global basis. In his most recent positions at SAP, he was President and Managing Director of SAP Canada, Executive Vice President of SAP Business Analytics, Chief Operating Officer of SAP Field Operations and, ultimately, was promoted to President of SAP North America. He brings valuable experience in managing global businesses, a deep understanding of enterprise software and business analytics and a keen sense of how to best translate business strategy into successful execution.

Jaime Ellertson

Jaime Ellertson has an established and indisputable reputation as a growth CEO. He has founded three innovative high-growth software companies and sold them to market leaders. He has a proven track record of building great private and public companies with growth strategies that deliver strong investor returns. He is deeply knowledgeable across the enterprise software landscape and has consistently sold into the Fortune 500. Ellertson has held nine CEO posts in his extremely successful tenure as an entrepreneur and business leader, transforming and growing businesses including Openware Technologies, Tartan (sold to Texas Instruments), Purview, Interleaf (NASDQ:LEAF), S1 Corporation (NASDQ: SONE), Gomez (sold to Compuware), and Cloudfloor (sold to Everbridge). He currently is the CEO and Chairman of Everbridge.

J. Ian Giffen

J. Ian Giffen serves as an advisor and/or director to technology companies and investment funds. Mr. Giffen is currently a director of Absolute Software Inc (ABT.TSX ), Kinaxis Inc. (KNX.TSX) , and a number of private companies and serves on the Advisory Board of OMERS Ventures .

From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Giffen was Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Alias Research Inc. until it was sold to Silicon Graphics for approximately $500 million. Since 1996, Mr. Giffen has advised several private venture investment funds, and has served on the boards of a number of public and private companies including Macromedia Inc., (from 1997 – 2005 until it was sold to Adobe Systems Inc for $4 billion), Mosaid Inc., Ruggedcom Inc., MKS Inc., Descartes Systems Group Inc. (Chairman), DPS Inc., MGI Software Inc., Delano Technology Inc., Corel Corporation Inc., Certicom Corporation Inc., Financial Models Inc., 724 Solutions Inc. (Chairman)., Sierra Systems Inc., Open Text Corporation Inc., DWL Inc., Algorithmics Inc., BTI Systems Inc., and Changepoint Inc. Mr. Giffen is a Chartered Accountant and has a Designation in Corporate Finance. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and worked with KPMG in Glasgow from 1978-1982.

Isobel Harris

Isobel Harris serves as the Chairman of PeopleFluent’s Customer Advisory Board, where she works directly with HR executives and senior management with significant knowledge of PeopleFluent’s Talent Management solutions who are constantly engaged to evaluate customer and market needs, helping enhance product strategy, vision, communication and technology. Ms. Harris has more than 25 years of strong, effective leadership and a wealth of experience in the software industry, along with a vested interest in continuing PeopleFluent’s delivery of a unified, complete customer solution.

Prior to joining PeopleFluent, Ms. Harris held the position of Vice President and General Manager at Geac, where she had global responsibility for the growth and day-to-day leadership of three of the $450 million global enterprise software company’s largest business units. With a proven track record and a disciplined approach, Ms. Harris has created results-oriented teams, many of which have included Sales, Services, and Global Support and Maintenance, supporting multiple products and technologies in more than 50 countries. In her previous role as Chief Customer Officer at PeopleFluent, Ms. Harris merged all customer-facing roles into a singular accountable organization that produced significant increases in customer satisfaction and enhanced long-term customer relationships and retention.

Larry Kaplan

Larry Kaplan is currently the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Bedford Funding. Mr. Kaplan previously served as Senior Vice President at Geac, where he had a wide range of responsibilities, including managing its industry specific applications, assisting in merger and acquisition activity and overseeing administrative functions. Mr. Kaplan joined Geac from Healthology, Inc., a leading producer and distributor of physician-generated health and medical information, where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, Mr. Kaplan spent nearly 10 years at Shandwick International, a $200+ million global public relations consultancy, where he was the Chief Financial Officer and later Chief Executive Officer for its operations in the Americas. Mr. Kaplan received an M.B.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and a B.S. in mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Jonathan D. Salon

Jonathan D. Salon has been a member of the PeopleFluent board for over four years and has contributed significantly to the coordination and management of every acquisition in PeopleFluent’s core business. He has been a key leader in shaping the PeopleFluent vision through acquisition, integration and business partnership strategies.

Mr. Salon also serves as Managing Director of Bedford Funding, a $1.4 billion private equity firm focused on growth investments in the technology sector and the owner of PeopleFluent. Prior to joining Bedford Funding in April, 2007, Mr. Salon served as Vice President and General Counsel of Unica Corporation (acquired by IBM), a leading global provider of enterprise marketing management software, where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide legal affairs. Prior to his role at Unica, Mr. Salon was Vice President of Corporate Development and Deputy General Counsel for Geac, a Toronto Stock Exchange listed software company with annual revenues approaching U.S. $500 million (acquired by Golden Gate Capital/ Infor in 2006). Prior to joining Geac, Mr. Salon was a partner in Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP’s Business and Technology and Private Equity practice groups, and prior to that he served as Director of Business Affairs and Associate General Counsel for Lycos, Inc., an on-line media company. Mr. Salon received a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, from Colgate University.

Tom Tardio

Tom Tardio has one of the strongest reputations in the converging fields of technology, entertainment and consumer marketing. This experience has provided Tom a unique insight into technology and consumer trends, and the strategic intersection of both demonstrated by the rapid consumerization of technology and the wide-spread adoption of social entertainment in all markets. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Rogers & Cowan, a post he has held for most of the twenty-three years he has been with the agency. While at the agency, he has architected a global strategic blueprint to achieve key growth objectives for the agency through innovation, diversification and acquisitions that has propelled Rogers & Cowan to a leadership role in the marketing communications industry. With a strong presence internationally, Rogers & Cowan is the preeminent entertainment marketing communications agency providing strategic counsel to Fortune 100 brands as well as emerging technology and start-up companies. Tom has played an instrumental role in providing senior strategic counsel to brands, such as Rdio, Microsoft, Myspace, Avon, Coca-Cola, Kraft, Nabisco, BMW, and Texas Instruments, among many others.
