IDC Presents on Aligning HR Practices Across the Business at PeopleFluent Global User Conference WISDOM 2016
Research Vice President Lisa Rowan Led Breakout Session Exploring Research Illustrating Differing Viewpoints Between HR and Line of Business Managers
Waltham, Mass. – April 19, 2016 – PeopleFluent®, a leading human capital management technology company, today announced discussion highlights from the Company’s global user conference WISDOM 2016 breakout session “Aligning HR Practices Across the Business”, featuring Research Vice President Lisa Rowan at IDC. Rowan presented recent survey findings that examined differing viewpoints between 501 HR managers and Line of Business (LOB) managers and which department should own responsibility for various talent management and workforce-related functions.
Rowan revealed survey findings that overall HR executives have a more positive view of their HR and talent processes and practices, believing their effectiveness to exceed industry standards. LOB managers generally held a more conservative view, believing their HR team to only be in line with industry peers. This difference in opinion highlighted a disconnect between the two divisions that needs to be bridged in order to achieve success.
An additional key takeaway from the session, Rowan also presented on “survivors vs thrivers” in today’s economy. Rowan presented the five keys that will help firms outpace their peers include: more modern HR technologies, more competitive pay and benefits, more competitive workforce policies, more importance placed on the workforce by executives, and more collaborative environments.
