The senior leaders discussed how they were able to maximize PeopleFluent’s capabilities to secure the best talent for their organization.

Traina and Highsmith offered a glimpse into Marriott’s OFCCP journey and presented how they combined their insight and expertise to build stronger hiring practices and equip their leaders with the right information to make sound recruiting and hiring decisions. Vice President of Global Talent Acquisition David Traina has been with Marriott International for the past 23 years. In his current position he has responsibility for Talent Point by Marriott, the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center, Global Mobility, Immigration Services, and HR Compliance. His previous experience with Marriott International includes HR Generalist roles within New York City, including the Director of Human Resources for the New York Marriott Marquis, JW Marriott Hotel, Renaissance New York City, and the Marriott East Side.

Senior Director HR Compliance Lakeshia N. Highsmith is an experienced leader with a compliance, human resources, and legal background. In her current role at Marriott International, she is responsible for managing a team of professionals who provide audit support, consulting, and compliance-related reporting throughout the enterprise. Lakeshia is recognized as a subject matter expert regarding diversity, and compliance with equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. As outside counsel, she advised companies and government agencies on the development of strategies focused on integrating compliance and the law with business needs.
