National Joint Powers Alliance Awards IT Staffing Contract to PeopleFluent Strategic Partner Computer Aid, Inc.
Companies team-up to deliver end-to-end staffing augmentation and contingent labor management solutions to NJPA members
Waltham, MA & Harrisburg, PA – August 22, 2017 – PeopleFluent®, a leading provider of integrated recruiting, talent management, and compensation planning solutions, today announced that strategic alliance partner Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI), a privately-held global Information Technology (IT) application management and outsourcing corporation, has been awarded a contract with the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) purchasing co-op.
The NJPA is a public corporation that serves as a municipal contract purchasing agency for government, education, and non-profit member organizations throughout the United States and Canada. Through the establishment of business and service alliances with a diverse array of suppliers and vendors, NJPA members save both time and money when securing products and services for their organizations. Through the addition of CAI and PeopleFluent, NJPA members can now gain access to top-tier IT talent for short-term assignments across a wide range of technologies.
“As cities, towns, and schools leverage more technology in new and unique ways, specialized talent is often required to accelerate implementation and ongoing services, aid adoption, and keep it all running at maximum efficiency,” stated Jim Cooney, Executive Vice President Public Sector, at CAI. “That expertise is increasingly found within the consultant or contractor community and our job is to ensure municipalities – as well as educational institutions and non-profit agencies – have access to that talent in a way that is cost-effective, efficient, and highly accountable to taxpayers and donors.”
Acting as a Managed Service Provider, CAI helps organizations to assess their need for specific technical skill sets, rapidly identify candidates that meet those needs, and accelerate the interview and onboarding processes. PeopleFluent’s Vendor Management System (VMS) serves as the backbone of this entire process, providing both CAI and their clients with a real-time view into multiple aspects of their contingent workforce activities.
“Extending the workforce beyond traditional full-time/part-time models empowers organizations to access highly-qualified, extremely talented individuals,” said Marc Husain, PeopleFluent’s vice president of VMS solutions. “PeopleFluent’s platform will help NJPA members to not only source the appropriate talent, but also ensure contingent workers operate as a true extension of each organization’s team.”
Through this partnership, state and local governments gain access to a single procurement vehicle that automates and simplifies the entire contingent labor process, including:
- Requisition management
- Candidate sourcing
- Rate rationalization and optimization
- Compliance and onboarding, including background checks
- Payment management
- Billing and invoicing
- Off-boarding and worker evaluation
Public sector and non-profit clients can also gain access to a diverse array of analysis and reporting tools, providing valuable insight into the efficiency of contingent workers, how taxpayer funds are being used, and how the city or town is complying with all state and local labor regulations.
In this arrangement, CAI is the awarded vendor, contract number #020817-CAI.
