4 E-Learning Methods to Keep Pace with How Your Employees Consume Information


The Old Way of Learning is Dead

Gone are the days where employees sit in a classroom for two hours to complete trainings courses and attempt to retain information they may or may not find useful.  With the increasingly fast paced working environment, employees don’t have time to set aside multiple hours to complete training. According to research from Deloitte, “the average employee only has time to devote 1% of their work week to professional development. That means, only 24 minutes a week or 4.8 minutes a day can be allotted to training in a normal 40-hour work week.”

    Did you know that by 2019, video will be responsible for 80% of internet traffic? Although the concept of video learning is not new, there’s been an increase in its usage in the learning and development realm. In fact, 98% of organizations say they will implement video as a part of their digital learning strategy.

    Video learning allows employees to view short videos which helps to absorb and retain more information. Video-based training is also mobile friendly and can be accessed using multiple platforms including phone, desktop and tablet.
